Description

A special part of the Winterthur Library is the Joseph Downs Collection of Manuscripts and Printed Ephemera, which contains color reproductions of furniture drawings created by Gillow & Company in Lancaster, England, between 1780 and 1810. Three generations of the Gillow family made some of the finest English furniture. Among the illustrations is a handsome three-drawer case piece with a concave facade and tapered legs.

Hickory Chair Company's artists have adapted a Gillow & Company design to create this modern bedside table. The result is a piece of furniture that is certain to become an important part of today’s living environments that emphasize unparalleled quality and beauty.
