Description

This bold architectural table is designed to be used as a console or a sideboard in the dining room or living room. It is based in size and proportion of a fine English George III console table dating to 1785. The panelized leg design, with its pronounced block foot, comes from an etching of a Chippendale clock pedestal, of the same period. The apron is divided into three useful drawers, one with a silver liner for flatware storage. This table comes with amply scaled Georgian lifting handles mounted on the drawers and side panels; or, the table can be made without handles for a more modern appearance. The Sheffield Sideboard is shown in optional Oxford finish without the standard hardware.
