Description

This sofa was created by O’Brien from his original sketch studies of formal yet comfortable Regency-inspired upholstery. In both shape and intention, it is a lead piece for the Library collection. The sofa as shown is standard with nail head trimmed arms and upholstered legs. The sofa is distinguished by the option of two separate, customized bases: first (as shown), a fully upholstered base with antiqued brass ferrules capping the toes in a more Continental style, with a gently scalloping fretwork detail at the legs and a nailhead detail on the face and side of the arm; and the second, a clubby, library-style profile with acorn-shaped turned wooden feet and a simpler upholstered arm profile. Four 20-inch goose feather throw pillows standard. 3-piece Spring-Down seat cushion standard. Standard NS-08 nail trim and Antique Brass ferrules shown.
