Calliope Cocktail Table

Description

This marble-topped metal cocktail table shares its silhouette with Thomas O’Brien’s Visual Comfort lighting family of the same name. The scrolling feet, picked out in warm antiqued brass, are taken from the handles on a set of Machine Age 1940s forged fireplace tools. For the tabletop, O’Brien was inspired by the inlaid alabaster top of a George II carved gilt wood pier table, dating to 1740. This inlay is set in modern, pale grey marble, with taupe and charcoal grey in the pattern. In addition, the Calliope is also available as a firmly upholstered, chic antiqued brass button-tufted top as 2380-11, for use as a bench as well as a coffee table.
