Description

Another invented design out of O’Brien’s sketchbooks, this elegant gallery sofa is distinctive for being fully upholstered top to base, down to the fine antiqued brass ferrules capping the toes. The soft formal posture and fitted tailoring of the upholstery suggest the refinement of an Edwardian design: the high sides, with the dramatic curve of the arms sloping low in the front, to the base; the subtle curved flare to the back, faintly suggesting the roll of a camelback sofa. The base is a slightly crisper variation of the stepped and scalloped detail that O’Brien uses throughout the collection. All are classic details put together in a new way, with new scale and gracious comfort for settings both traditional and modern. Two 22-inch and two 20-inch goose feather throw pillows standard. 2-piece Spring-Down seat cushion and Antique Brass ferrules standard as shown.
