The distinctive pilaster moldings found on a New York Dutch-inspired 17th Century Kas, or wardrobe, have been adapted to perfectly suit the scale of the Oyster Bay Chest. Additional decoration on the chest includes a raised diamond carved pattern and rectilinear lines adapted from a 1676 New England spice chest, the earliest dated piece of furniture in the collection. Inspired by the crisp lines of these 17th Century pieces and crafted in alder with meticulous moldings and raised panels, the chest's angularity and symmetry integrate effortlessly into 21st Century spaces. The Oyster Bay Chest is available in painted and stained finishes as well as Customer's Own Hardware™. Oxford is the standard finish. Optional Antique Worn White paint shown.
