When the Henry Francis du Pont house became Winterthur Museum in 1951, the du Pont family moved to a Regency-style residence built just across the lawn. H. F. du Pont decorated his new home with English and French antiques he had acquired early in his career as a collector, including a neoclassical-style pier table with delicately tapered legs and graceful concave facade. Hickory Chair artists have designed a distinctive side table by combining the silhouette of the pier table with the reeded drawer front of a Pennsylvania side table in the collection that dates to about 1800. The result is an elegant table. Available with Customer’s Own Hardware™. Standard with two Antique Brass drop pulls. Shown at right with one pull as a custom construction.
