An 18th-century low-back settee is among the numerous examples of Windsor-style seating furniture at Winterthur. The timeless design is known for its simplicity and comfort. While the earliest known Windsor chairs were used as outdoor garden seating at Windsor Castle in the 1720s, by the middle of that century Windsor chairs could also be found in halls, parlors, and chambers.
Hickory Chair Company's artists have adapted the design of Winterthur’s Windsor settee to create this contemporary form. The result is a piece of furniture that is certain to become an important part of today’s living environments that emphasize unparalleled quality and beauty. Dark Walnut is the standard finish. Optional Kohl finish shown. Also shown in optional Weathered White paint. Goose feather seat cushion standard.
